Finger Puppets

I decided that I wanted to make Zoe some finger puppets for Christmas. I found the pattern HERE. It took me about an evening to do one. I think they turned out super cute. I especially like the pig. Ben likes the dog (the black and white one).

Art Project

I had read on line that you could make turkeys by tracing your hand and then gluing leaves on for the tail feathers. So we went out and gathered a ton of leaves and traced Zoe's hands and she got to make turkeys.
She had a good time using the glue, sometimes I had to help make sure that she put the leaves where she had put the glue.
And I honestly didn't help her with this one. She picked out the leaves and stuck them on. I think that it was just luck that the big ones are all going the right direction.
It was nice to let her express her creativity. I really need to let her do that more often. Even if it does make a big mess.

Halloween

Zoe had a lot of fun at Halloween this year. She was so excited because she got to be a Kitty-Cat. She would put her ears on and go around saying "Where'd Zoe go? meow, meow", and then she would take them off and say "here is Zoe!" She made one cute Kitty.

Getting ready.

She sure loved her tail.
Our ward had a little Carnival and Trunk or Treat. Zoe got to go fishing, do a bean bag toss, and pumpkin bowl. She wasn't quite sure what Daddy was trying to make her do.
At the Trunk or Treat she started off good saying Trick or Treat and then she realized that she didn't have to say anything, all she had to do was hold her bucket out to the people and they would put candy in it.
And I have to admit I feel like a bad mom. Arleigh was a bumble bee, and we only got two pictures of her. She was not the biggest fan of her costume and she was a little bit cranky at the carnival and Trunk or Treating.

I'm sorry baby girl! I love you!!
She did get a balloon and thought it was the greatest thing ever.

Playing in the Leaves

We went to Wyoming the beginning of October and the leaves had just started to fall. So we raked them up and Zoe had a blast playing in them. And Arleigh got really annoyed that we wouldn't let her eat them.

September

We apparently didn't do to much in September either.

We did build a blanket fort, canned some more, and celebrated Ben's Birthday.
Happy Late Birthday Ben! Hahaha!!

August

We apparently didn't do to much in August since I don't have very many pictures.

Here's some of Arleigh.
My brother and his wife came to our house and we celebrated his birthday.
Zoe sure loves having Uncle Josh around. He even wins over Nana (gasp).
The pony got tired and so he decided to take a turn riding. I don't think Zoe thought that it was as fun.
We have also been canning our heads off. This picture isn't even half of what we got done. We did applesauce, apples, peaches, pears, pumpkin, beets, carrots, tomatoes, strawberry syrup, and lots of crab apple and apple cinnamon jellies.

Finishing off July

I thought I should finish July, since we are now in November.

We Took Zoe to the Zoo a few times. Even though we have a goat, her favorite place was the petting zoo, petting the goats.
Looking at the Giant Turtles. They were huge!!
Riding a tiger. She wasn't quite sure if it was fun or not.
Zoe had a lot of fun at the zoo. She liked watching the penguins eat, watching the otters swim, and just liked all the animals. I liked that she is at an age where she could actually see the animals that we were pointing out to her.

Arleigh

Here's some pictures of Arleigh to feast your eyes on.

Help!

A year or two ago, on the LDS Humanitarian Website, Here, was a pattern for a crocheted ball. It is no longer on the website. I thought I had saved the pattern, but I can't find it anywhere. I am wanting to make some crocheted balls for Arleigh for Christmas this year, and that was the best ball pattern I could find. If you have it would you please send it to me? Thanks very much!

Swimming

This summer while Ben's parents were visiting we went swimming at the hot springs. Zoe absolutely loved it.

She loved splashing with Grandma. And learned to blow bubbles in the water and learned a fishy song.
Here's Ben getting Zoe ready to go down the water slide. Since Zoe was so little she had to wear a life vest.
And yes, I'm going to make you look at the frame-by-frame action.
Zoe loved the water slide. Ben took her on it 4 or 5 times. I think that if we had stayed any longer she would have turned into a fish.
It was a lot of fun to take Zoe swimming. And the best part is that I got to sit in the grass with Arleigh and read a book. So nice.
