Phoebe

Phoebe was born October 23 at 2:25 am. She was 7 lbs 13 oz and 20 inches long, dark hair and dark eyes. She looks a lot like her sisters did when they were born.

First Day of Pre-school

Zoe started her second year of pre-school in September. I can't believe how big she is getting and every thing that she is learning. She had a little bumpy start with school, I don't know if she just wasn't feeling well, but she didn't enjoy it the first week. But now she loves it and can't wait to go.

Daddy's Birthday

Daddy's birthday was in September. The girls helped make his cake, and they helped put the candles on it, helped blow out the candles and of course helped eat the cake.

Do you like their poses?

The Fair

We took the girls to the fair this year, of course. They loved looking at all the animals and eating the fair food. But their favorite part was a little petting Zoo where they got to feed the animals. They thought it was pretty awesome to have the goats lick their hands. I, on the other hand, did not enjoy it as much. There was a weird little breed of goat that bit me. It startled me, and made me drop most of the animal food. But the girls had fun, and that's what matters.

Hair

We had a fairly busy September and I acutally took pictures. So I am going to start with my hair pictures. My hair had gotten really long and so I decided to donate 11 inches to Locks of Love. We accidently took off 13 inches and so my hair ended being a lot shorter than I intended. I think it turned out well anyway.

Oh, I'm about 35 weeks in these pictures.
I am actually almost 38 weeks and have been having contractions every hour or so today. They aren't painful, so I am hoping that she waits till morning to really decide to do anything. I hate going in to labor at 2 in the morning.

Big Sister

Zoe is such a good big sister. She tries very hard to make sure that Arleigh is happy. If Arleigh is sad or upset Zoe will try to cheer her up. Zoe is looking forward to having another little sister. I hope Arleigh will be a good big sister like Zoe.

Mud Monsters

Mud Monsters!!!

Need I say more?

Puppy

In July we got a new addtion to our family.
She is a Mini Australian Shepherd/Springer Spaniel mix.

The girls just love her, except when she jumps up on them.

Zoe named her Daisy and she is a cute little thing that is acutally getting to be a lot bigger than in these pictures.

And you may ask, am I crazy to get a puppy right before having a baby?

Yes, yes I am.

Fishing with Dad

This summer the girls got to go fishing with Ben a couple of times. I don't think they ever figured out the point of sitting by the water holding a stick, but I think they still had fun.

And yes, Arleigh has a giant pole and Zoe has one of those kid ones. Arleigh just never got a pole and so she had to borrow Ben's.

4th of July

We apparently didn't get the camera out much on the 4th of July. But we did have a picnic with my family. And then we went to the park here to watch fireworks .

Here's the girls waitng for the fireworks.

Not many pictures, but it was a fun day and the girls really enjoyed the fireworks.

Just a few pictures from June for your enjoyment.

Fish

I think the only fish that Ben caught this summer came out of our irrigation water into the field where the goat lives. That is the second fish that has come out of the irrigation since we've lived here. Better fish than snakes!

Zoe's Birthday

We were going to throw Zoe a birthday party this year but since I was feeling very very sick I didn't feel up to hosting a party for a bunch of 4 year olds. So Zoe got to be a spoiled monkey and we took her to the Hogle Zoo for her Birthday. How that was better than hosting a bunch of 4 year olds I will never figure out, but I survived and acutally had a fun time. All the benches and chairs I could sit on were an added benefit, as was the lack of multiple 4 year olds.

Zoe's favorite part of the zoo was the childrens area. She liked popping up and down in the ground pretending to be a prairi dog. I don't think she could actually see any animals but she thought it was great to act like one.

If Zoe knows you are going to take her picture she has to pose. Arleigh is never sure what Zoe is doing. That is a giant orangutan behind them.

My girls don't quite have the arms to be apes. Again, Arleigh had no idea what we were making her do.

This was my favorite sign at the zoo.

I can never get both girls to look at the camera at the same time.

Making Zoe's birthday cake.

Zoe really wanted a purple kitty for her cake this year. Nana was awesome and made a purple kitty cake. That was the best face I got of Zoe with her cake. It's almost a smile.

Happy Birthday Zoe!!! (A few months ago.)

April

Here's a few pictures from April.

Having fun painting!

Flying kites.

Our neighbors have a four wheeler with a little train that they let us borrow every now and then. Arleigh isn't the biggest fan of it because everytime she rides in it she hits her head.

Helping Daddy stack wood.

And no, we were not forcing Arleigh to help. She really did want to help...her uncle just picked her up and caused a major break down.
