Thanksgiving

Well, I don't actually have a lot of pictures from Thanksgiving. Mainly the pictures are of decorating the Christmas tree.

Here's Arleigh's mad face.

There I am now caught up and I can start working on Christmas posts!

Halloween Part 3- Trick or Treat!

For Halloween Zoe wanted to be a fairy, and Arleigh wanted to be what ever Zoe was. So we found some fairy wings and made these cute little tulle tutus. I think they turned out super cute.

I could not get Zoe to make a normal face for a picture. She was to excited about her costume.

Here is Arleigh's alternate costume. We thought it fit her personality a little better than a fairy princess this year.
OK, so I don't actually have any pictures of them trick-or-treating but it was stinkin' cold and we only trick-or-treated for a short amount of time.

Halloween Part 2- Carving Pumpkins

In October we carved pumpkins, Of Course! Arleigh didn't actually get the option to carve a pumpkin, but she sure did love coloring her little pumpkin. Poor child, she's so deprived. Zoe got to color and carve a pumpkin. It was a lot of fun.

Halloween Part 1- Sugar Cookies

Waaay back in October we made sugar cookies and decorated them. The girls had a lot of fun.

This is how Arleigh decorated her cookies. Yum!
Zoe actually got some frosting on her cookie.
Finished products

This is what Arleigh wore most of the evening.

Sunflower

This year we had a pretty good garden, if I do say so myself. I am amazed at what we were able to grow, considering we only weeded once and that was when the grass got to my knees. My favorite thing we grew was our giant sunflower. It never got weeded and was off at the end of the garden that we weren't to worried about watering. And yet it was huge! I wish I would have gotten a picture of it when it was blooming, it was so awesome. Maybe we can get another one just as big next year.

Chickens

So, if you haven't notice, I am a little behind on my blog. My goal is to get all caught up in the next couple of weeks. HA! Oh, I mean, totally do-able.

So waaay back in September Ben decided to get chickens. And I have to say I totally prefer the chickens to the goats. We have them fenced into the pasture and they don't even try to get out! I know amazing! And if they do get out, we just have to wait till it gets dark and they go put themselves up for the night. Which is totally Awesome! Unlike the stupid goats that constantly try to get out and when they do get out it takes for ever to catch them and get them back in the pasture. Stupid Goats. Sooo, I prefer the chickens. And so do the girls. Zoe loves them, Arleigh loves them, and I love the fresh eggs. Oh and Ben loves them too.

Fair

In September we went to Eastern Idaho State Fair. Since it's just up the road from us we didn't have to find parking. We just walked. But the jogging stroller was/is broke and so we took the wagon. The girls thought it was pretty fun riding in the wagon.

This goat had crazy big horns. They were huge!
Arleigh sure had a good time at the petting zoos. They loved all the animals.
We just took the girls to look at all the animals, but Ben and I did another trip where we went and looked at the craft items. It amazes me the things that people can create and how beautiful the quilts and things are.

Preschool

This year Zoe was old enough to start preschool. I finally found her first day of preschool pictures.
They wanted her to have a back pack and it took me forever to find one that wasn't outrageously expensive. Why would I spend 30 bucks on a back pack for a 3 year old? Or anyone for that matter. Luckily I found this cute little one on sale and it even has a cute puppy and kitty on it.
I tried and I tried to get a picture of the girls together and this was the closest that Arleigh would get to Zoe. She kept running away. Silly kid.
Zoe loves preschool. Everyday she asks what day it is and if she goes to preschool. She is quite sad when it isn't time for school. I'm so glad we were able to find her a good school that she can go and learn how to socialize and do projects that I don't want to do all the time. Yay for not having to clean up the messes!!

Isn't she the sweetest thing?

Zoo

While Ben's parents were here we went to the zoo. The girls love going to the zoo and Arleigh is old enough to be able to spot some of the animals.

Zoe was measuring herself next to the lion picture. Then she decided that she needed roar like a lion. She makes a good lion.
Arleigh's favorite part of the zoo was of course the goats and chickens.

After we went to the zoo Grandpa took us to get Ice cream. Arleigh didn't want ice cream but she did want french fries. You need a day every now and then where you have ice cream for dinner. This was one of those days.
Grandpa and Grandma were very impressed with how clean Zoe was eating her ice cream. She didn't lose a drop of ice cream!

Swimming

While Ben's family visited us this summer we went to Lava Hot springs. The water was so nice and pleasant. The girls had a blast and Zoe had a good time going down the little slides that you can see in the back of this picture. Ben also had a good time going down the really big slides. We didn't get to spend the whole day there because it started thundering and lightening and we had to get out of the pool. It was still a lot of fun.

camping

This summer we went camping in Yellowstone. Zoe was so excited to go camping. Every day for about a month before we went she would ask if we were going camping yet. And then she would tell me that when we camp we sleep in the tent trailer. When we got to our campsite and got set up she kept asking if we were camping yet. I would tell her that we were camping and she would tell me no because we weren't sleeping in the tent trailer. It took me the whole time we were camping to try and convince her we were still camping even if we weren't asleep. She slept so good while we were camping. It's a pity she doesn't sleep that well in her own bed.

I don't know if you can see it but her face is just covered in dirt. Luckily Grandma had a bathtub in her trailer.

Arleigh sure enjoyed being out and playing with everybody. She was also covered in dirt the whole time we were camping.

I don't really know what they were doing, but they sure liked sitting on Grandma and Grandpa's steps to their trailer.

We had many picnics while we were in Yellowstone. This one was fun because there was a huge rock to play on. The girls love rocks.

The last day we were there Zoe ran around and gathered up all the rocks that she could and put them in her pockets. She had so many rocks that her pants started to fall down. I then told her that she could only take home one rock and she started to cry. Grandma came to the rescue and gave Zoe a baggy to put all her rocks in. Zoe got to take all her rocks home. She was so happy. And yes we have a bag of rocks sitting in a box in her room.

Arleigh also had to bring a rock home. Did I mention my girls like rocks?

We had a lot of fun camping with Ben's family. I hope we can do it again next year.
