4th of July

We were in California for the 4th of July. We spent the day with Ben's parents and went to the fireworks at the sports park.

For the 4th Ben's Mom always makes home made Ice cream. Zoe and Arleigh were very excited that they got to help make the ice cream.

Zoe was so excited to go to the fireworks and play some of the games and do some of the rides, but sadly we got there just as they closed ticket sales. We had one very sad little girl. Luckily we were able to buy her a Crispy Cream Doughnut and that made life great. Arleigh did not join us for fireworks. Ben's brother decided not to go and so we got to put Arleigh to bed. It worked out perfect. Arleigh got to sleep like she wanted and we got to watch fireworks with out a tired little girl.

Zoe LOVED the fireworks. She wore the biggest grin and clapped the whole entire fireworks show. It was the cutest thing ever!

Playing at Grandma's

The Girls had a blast playing at Grandma's house. There were new toys and new people to play with. So much fun!

July

July was busy month for us. We visited Ben's family in California and had our anniversary trip.

While in California we:

Zoe went to Grandma camp

Here's our family picture. That was the happiest face that Arleigh would make for the camera. It's better than her screaming.

Black Eye

A while back Arleigh hit her head on Zoe's head and gave herself a pretty good black eye.

Camping

In June Ben decided that he needed to take Zoe camping. So they packed their camping gear in the back of the truck, drove out behind our shop and camped. Zoe was so excited to be camping.

Here's their beds, and yes they watched a movie. Since they weren't really camping there wasn't to much for them to do. But Zoe still had a great time camping with Daddy in the back of the truck.

Painting

Earlier this year we painted the girls room. I sadly don't have any before pictures but i do have a few pictures of Zoe helping paint the room. She was so excited to help daddy. She was assigned a corner to paint. And she did a very thorough job of it.

Their room looks sooo much better!

Zoe Birthday-Part 2

Since Nana and Papa couldn't make it to the Zoo for Zoe's birthday we had a little party with them the next weekend. Zoe got a kitty cake (orange like our kitty), and had a blast playing with Nana and Papa.

Nana and Papa gave her one of those little couches that turns into a bed. The girls absolutely love it!
