Birthday Cakes

So I know that Zoe's 1st birthday is still a month away, but I was thinking about cakes. And I was looking on familyfun.com (it's a magazine website) and found these cakes that I liked. Now as many of you know, I hate making decisions. Sooo....take a look at the cakes and vote for your favorite one.

I like the fish because it was a bright color and caught my eye.

I'm kinda leaning towards the sand castle, but I'm just not sure. It intimidates me. Having to cut cakes down and stacking them and what not.

I think the ladybug is cute and it looks a little bit easier than the others. (At least in my mind). Just frost it a put mints all over for the spots.

And the butterfly. What little girl doesn't like butterflies?

So those are my top pick for Zoe's birthday cake. So please help me! And if the cake that I make turns out well, I might even post a picture of it!!! Luckily they have step-by-step instructions.
Wish me luck.

Nana and Papa

This last week my parents drove down from Idaho for a visit. It took Zoe about a day to warm up to them. Once she did, it was all about playing pat-a-cake with Nana and having Papa carry her around every where.

*We went to Disneyland. (Sadly we forgot our camera.)
*We went to the tidepools in Laguna Beach. (Sadly we forgot our camera.) We saw a seal on the rocks sunning itself, again.
*We went to the used bookstore and the 99 cent store. We got some good books for Mom and some good 99 cent books for Zoe and some good books for Nana.
*Papa took Zoe to the park. (Again I forgot the camera.)
*And we spent alot of time hanging out and playing with Zoe.

It was so much fun. Sadly, they had to leave. But I did get a few pictures of Zoe with her Nana and Papa.

Nana feeding Zoe. Yummy!
We didn't really take this picture while we were at Disneyland this week. But we did take it at Disneyland and I thought it would be a good one to show what we did with my parents.
Same with this picture of the seal. But the seal we saw this week looked exactly like this and was in the exact same spot.

Picnic at the Park

On Saturday we went on a picnic to a park that over looks the ocean.
Zoe had a great time crawling around, and dumping out her food. I don't know how much she actually ate, but she had fun.

After we ate we took Zoe to the play area. She enjoyed going down the slides. At one point Daddy even let her go down the slide by herself. She loved it!
And can I just add that this time change has been great for Zoe's sleeping schedule. For the last 3 days she has woken up at the same time, eaten at the same time, taken naps at the same time, and has slept for approximately the same amount of time each day. Some of you will say 3 days that's nothing. But for Zoe it is quite an accomplishment to do anything consistantly from day to day (and I've tried). So the fact that she has done the same thing for 3 days is amazing. It makes me hope that she has finally found her schedule. If not I will be back to pulling out my hair trying to figure out what she wants, when she wants it.

Happy sleeping to you all!!
