Mr. Mom

As you know from Annie's last post she's been down for a few weeks.... so I was promoted to "Mr. Mom". Up until a few weeks ago I almost envied Annie that she got to stay home and play with the baby all day. I thought that would be much more fun than the endless paperwork and meetings I am engulfed in at work. I WAS HORRIBLY WRONG!!!!! It's much easier to leave every day and go to work... at least there is an end to the work day. At home you'd think it get's easier once the baby goes to bed but then there's the dishes and laundry that I couldn't do during the day because Zoe wanted to constantly be held. The good thing is I have a much greater appreciation for everthing Annie gets done during the day. I don't think I'll be quitting my job to stay at home any time soon.

2 weeks ago I had my gall bladder out and I haven't felt like doing much. I'm now feeling better and so I thought it was about time I posted something new on our blog.

Zoe's new favorite past time is trying to stand. She will try to climb up on anything that is about her waist height or lower. It's a little bit worrisome when she tries to climb on something that won't hold her weight, like her diaper bag. Her favorite things to crawl up is Mommy and Daddy.

Zoe's view on the clarinet

I recently taught a primary lesson on music, so I got out my old clarinet to show to the primary sunbeams. I was taking the stuff out of my box today and decided to get my clarinet out and play it for Zoe. I was quite surprised at her response. I guess it's been too long since I've played.
