Spider Web

So in our back yard we have two huge Sycamore Trees. At least I think they are Sycamore. Anyways, we have these two big trees in our yard and lots of things live in them. A couple of doves, bugs, and a ton of spiders. There is this one big spider that makes its web between one of the trees and our garage (near the door). The weird thing is that every morning the web is gone. But every night the web is back in place. Which actually is good because I would rather not have a huge spider web in our back yard all day, every day. These are just a few pictures of the web.

This one you can see the spider. It's a good size spider. It's kinda in the middle by the leaves. Not the middle of the leaves, middle of the picture, edgish of the leaves. Ok you probably can't see it because you don't know what you are looking for, but it's there.
Here's a close up of the spider. It's a big ugly thing.
The worst part is if I go out to put the dog in the garage for the night and I forget the spider web is there. It's horrible to walk into. I did that a couple of nights ago. Ben was laughing at my spider web dance. It wasn't fun. I felt like I had spiders on me the rest of the night.

Memory

1. Leave a comment on my blog, one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

P.S. Mom you can leave a comment, you don't have to have a blog to leave one. Just click on the comment button and scroll down and click on the little circle next to the name spot and put your name in. Then publish your comment. See super easy :) Just leave nice comments. Ha ha.

Zoe vs. Uncle Josh

So a lot of people (ok only 2) have said that Zoe looks a lot like her uncle Josh. I'm not so sure if she does. So I thought I would put both of their pictures on the blog and see what every one thinks. By the way...that's Zoe smiling.
Sorry Josh this was the only picture I could find of just you. If you don't like it you can send me a better one and I'll take this one off. P.S. now that I think about it sometimes she does look like Josh.

Cell Phone Pictures

So I realized that some of the cutest pictures we have of Zoe were on our cell phones. And these were the pictures I wanted to share with everyone. Cell phones...aren't they great?

This first one I think is the only picture we have of Zoe smiling. And yes that is a smile. Her head looks HUGE!

This one is of Zoe's new favorite face to make. She will look around with her lips puckered up. It's really funny.

This is her sucking on her lower lip. She does this when I won't give her the pacifier. It makes her happy.
P.S. Do you like the new background that Ben put on? I think the bear is a little crazy. But Ben liked it cuz it was called crazy camping or something like that.

Thesis

Annie told me that I never write anything on the blog any more and I should post something. Here is my thought for the day:

I'm glad I don't do homework on Sundays. It's my one day that I don't have to feel guilty if I don't work on my thesis. I don't think I'll ever get my PhD, I've heard that dissertations are even worse. I am going to do a study entitled "Permanency Planning for Adult with Developmental Disabilities Living at Home with their Parents." It's a long title, but an even bigger problem. There are over 500 people over the age of 45 with a developmental disability in OC that still live with their parents. Most of them haven't made any clear plans for when they can't take care of their adult child any longer. Hopefully I'll have a very successful study and find some great solution to the problem.

My other thought for the day is that Zoe is really cute when she is sleeping.

Fishing

While we were in Wyoming we went fishing up in the Big Horn mountains. The lake was beautiful. I don't have any pictures of Ben actually fishing. But he did catch 6 fish. He kept 4 of them.

We went with Mom, Dad, and Josh. I don't think they caught anything but I think they still had fun.

Zoe wasn't to interested in fishing. This is what she did the whole time we were there. Sleepy, Sleepy.

I do have to say that I am quite proud of myself. I caught 2 fish. They were the first 2 fish I have ever caught fishing in my whole life. Sadly, I didn't keep them. They were too little. But it was quite exciting.

This is just a nice picture of my dad. And it shows a really good view of the lake. It was so nice to be in the mountains and away from people.

Bullet Bike

On our vacation we stopped in Star Valley to visit one of Ben's uncles. Ben's cousin was there who owns a bullet bike. Ben got to ride the bike. I decided that it would be safer if I didn't ride with Ben. He agreed.

We did decide that it was ok for me to ride with his cousin. This is a video of my riding with Ben's cousin. I think he was trying to scare me, but I am proud to say that it didn't work. Because I knew if he crashed he was going to be in a lot worse shape than I would be. Since I was wearing the helmet and leather jacket, and he was not.

This is a picture of our family on the bullet bike. And for you worried mother's out there...No we didn't really take Zoe on a ride.
